We do things a little different around here

Here’s the deal. Visiting a church for the first time can feel weird, so we’d rather answer the questions up front.

What we believe →

What can I expect on a Sunday?

Worship, dynamic Bible-based preaching from Pastors James and Cathie, and prayer. There are two Sunday services at the Rockford campus, 9 AM and 11 AM, and Senior Adult Bible Study meets at 9 AM on Forest Hills Road. When you plan your visit we’ll send you all the details you need to know.

What does it mean that you’re Pentecostal?

Being Pentecostal means we believe the Holy Spirit is alive and active today. We love passionate worship, believe the Bible is true, value the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and expect God to change lives through His presence and power. Our desire is simply to know Jesus more and help others experience the abundant life He offers.

Do you actually pray for the sick?

Yes. We believe divine healing is an integral part of the gospel, provided for in the atonement, and the privilege of all believers. So we pray, and we expect God to answer. Come and experience the miracle working God of the Bible.

What about my kids?

Your kids are going to love it here. Kids Church is led by our River Kids pastors, who have a heart for children’s ministry and make it their mission to see kids filled with the Holy Spirit and experience a touch from God. Plan your visit and we’ll help you get them checked in.

Pastor James Hightshoe was touched by the Power of God in his mid-twenties and delivered from a life of drug addiction and alcoholism. That experience fueled a passion to impact the lives of others with the Power of the Gospel that continues to this day.
