You called on the name of the Lord and He heard you. That is the single most important thing that will ever happen to you, and it happened today.
What just happened
You are not the same person you were this morning
Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. You turned, you believed, and by grace through faith you became an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. That is not a feeling. It is a fact, and it is settled.
Some people feel it all at once. Some feel almost nothing on the day and everything three weeks later. Neither one means it did not take. What you did rests on the shed blood of Jesus Christ, not on your emotions about it.

Say it out loud
Tell somebody today. Tell your family, tell a friend, and tell us. Confession with the mouth is part of how this works, and saying it once out loud has a way of settling it in you.

Get baptized in water
Baptism by immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized, declaring to the world that you died with Christ and have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Call the office and we will get you on the schedule.

Ask for the baptism in the Holy Spirit
This is a second, distinct experience, and every believer is entitled to it. Ardently expect it and earnestly seek it. With it comes power for life and service. Come to the front after any service and ask a pastor to pray with you for it.

Get in church and stay in church
You were not built to do this alone. Pick a service and start showing up. Sunday worship at 9 and 11 in Rockford, prayer meeting on Tuesday, and Wednesday family night with a meal first.
